Mike Deising Obituary Marysville Broker Died in Michigan | REALTOR Michael Deising

Michael “Mike” Deising, a pillar of the Marysville, Michigan community, an elite real estate broker, a dedicated public servant, and a deeply loved friend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the age of 54.

Known for his booming laugh, infectious humor, and a heart so big he “would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice,” Mike spent his life protecting, serving, and housing the people of St. Clair County. Whether he was running into burning buildings, securing dream homes for clients, jamming out to music, or organizing local car shows, Mike lived with an unyielding passion for people. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Pam, his loving family, and a community deeply shaken by a loss that has come entirely too soon.

Mike Deising Obituary

A Lifelong Quaker: Roots and Family

Born in 1972, Mike was a lifelong resident of Marysville, graduating from Marysville High School with the Class of 1990 before continuing his education at St. Clair County Community College (SC4).

In December 2001, Mike married the love of his life, Pam Deising (a Registered Nurse at Lake Huron Medical Center). Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and community service. Mike was an incredibly proud stepfather to Alex, a software engineer, and welcomed his daughter-in-law, Cheyanne, into their close-knit family circle.

The Ultimate Public Servant: 27 Years on the Line

Long before he was helping families buy homes, Mike was protecting them. For 27 years, Mike served as a Paid-On-Call Firefighter with the Marysville Fire Department. He risked his safety to protect his neighbors, eventually taking on leadership roles within the regional brotherhood, including serving as President of the St. Clair County Firefighters Association.

Before transitioning full-time into business, Mike also spent 13 years as a route driver and salesman for Coca-Cola Enterprises. It was there that he coined his foundational, career-long philosophy: “The Customer is Why.”

A Real Estate Icon: Industry Leader and Mentor

In 2001, Mike transitioned his passion for people into the real estate industry. His impact on the blue-water area property market was nothing short of legendary:

  • Elite Production: Licensed as a Broker in 2008, Mike was the owner of Deising Real Estate (later aligned with Epique Realty). Since 2013, Hour Detroit Magazine consistently named him among the Top 5% of real estate professionals in the Metro Detroit area.

  • Association President: Mike spent nearly a decade as a Director for the Eastern Thumb Association of REALTORS® (ETAR) and served with distinction as its regional President in 2015.

  • The Ultimate Professional Peer: Upon his passing, the ETAR executive board released a joint statement capturing his immense impact:

“If you knew Mike, you knew. He was one of those people who truly rooted for you. He wanted to see you succeed, wanted the best for you… He was a friend, a mentor, a teammate, and quite often, the life of the party. Mike had a way with people. He could walk into a room and make you laugh, make you feel welcome, and somehow always knew just what to say.”

The Life of the Party and Community Mainstay

Mike’s energy couldn’t be contained by his professional life. He was a co-founder and driving force behind the annual Marysville Hot Wheels Weekend, turning a love for custom cars and community into one of the summer’s most anticipated local events. He was a passionate musician who loved playing music with his close friends, who described him as a brother who always kept tabs on the people he loved.

He was highly active in local civic life, maintaining memberships at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, the Sons of the American Legion Post 449, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3702, the Port Huron Moose Lodge No. 158, and the Marysville Business Council.
